The Old Church Wedding-Napier | Auckland Wedding Photographer + Videographer

We had the pleasure of doing an engagement shoot for Victoria and Henry earlier in the year at Wenderholm Regional Park once we were able to resume seeing people after the first lock down thanks to Covid-19. It was lovely to be able to listen to their love story and also hearing the things that you do for love with Victoria's decision to take a leap of faith and make the "mammoth move from Auckland to Hawke's Bay" to be together after Henry was relocated (to read their engagement blog click here).

Fast forward a few months and another lockdown the day finally came for these two to get married and what a beautiful day for a wedding it was! Victoria and Henry chose to do a first look and have their bridal party photos at a magical place complete with a bridge and waterfall. This meant they got to spend time together and were able to also enjoy time with guests after the ceremony. If you are on the fence about doing a first look have a look at James' sweet reaction to seeing his beautiful bride.

Unfortunately, a few loved ones which included Henry's Mum and sisters couldn't attend due to the closed borders. Victoria and Henry included their special guests who were celebrating the wedding from the comfort of their own homes in Dorset, UK by getting all their guests to send their aroha (love) from Aotearoa to England during the ceremony. Their wedding was made extra special as Henry's very proud cousin Renee was the celebrant and beautifully reflected on their love story for family and friends near and far. The atmosphere was filled with lots of love and laughter which was a perfect depiction of Henry and Victoria who are just generally the most humble, down to earth and happy people you will have the pleasure of meeting! Their smiles and genuine happiness is contagious if you don't believe me just take a look at the photos and video which were beautifully captured by Sunny and John.

The Old Church was the perfect venue from the magnificent architecture that wowed guests upon arrival to the beautifully manicured gardens where the ceremony and canapes took place. The service from the team was wonderful and the food was incredible and tasted even better than it looked. The venue also provided some magical photos not only during the day but also at night!

We feel very honoured to have met and photographed Victoria and Henry at their engagement shoot and once again on their wedding day.
