Ceremony Locations - All Beautiful in Their Own Way
One of our favourite things about shooting at Markovina is the variety. There are nine ceremony spots around the property, each with its own character – from the chestnut tree grove and barrel waterfall to the kauri tree clearing and the indoor fireplace setting.
The light here is stunning all day long. The trees create soft, even lighting – so whether your ceremony is at midday or late afternoon, your photos will still look amazing. And if the weather turns, the indoor ceremony option is just as photogenic – the stone fireplace adds warmth and texture that photographs beautifully.

The Reception – Pure Magic After Dark
As the sun sets, Markovina transforms. The vine-covered ceiling in the reception area glows with hundreds of fairy lights, creating a romantic, candlelit atmosphere. It’s one of those spaces where the energy just feels special – and when the dance floor fills up, it’s a dream to capture.
We love how the room opens up to the gardens, allowing guests to flow in and out easily. The big windows, polished floors, and greenery-filled décor give it that relaxed vineyard feel without losing the elegance of a proper wedding venue.
