Val and Cindy’s wedding at Kumeu Valley Estate was nothing short of magical. Travelling over from Australia to celebrate their special day, they brought together family, friends, and so much love for a celebration filled with laughter, energy, and unforgettable moments. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was incredible, making it an absolute joy to capture their story as their Auckland wedding photographer.

One of the standout features of the day was their beautiful ceremony backdrop, framed by stunning cherry blossoms. They created the most romantic setting and made for the perfect backdrop for both family portraits and couple photos. It was one of those settings that felt almost straight out of a fairytale!

But the surprises didn't stop there. Val and Cindy made a spectacular entrance with a traditional lion dance, bringing an incredible burst of colour, culture, and excitement to the celebrations. Their families also went all out with a series of performances to a variety of songs, including a brilliant ABBA medley that had everyone smiling and cheering. It was so special to see both families come together, sharing their personalities and creating such a fun, meaningful celebration.

We also took some time away from the festivities to explore the nearby forest, where we captured some fun and relaxed portraits of Val and Cindy alongside their bridal party. The combination of photos at the forest and at Kumeu Valley Estate gave us a lovely mix of romantic, playful, and candid images.

As the day moved into the evening, the celebrations continued with plenty of laughter, dancing, and incredible energy. Kumeu Valley Estate provided the perfect setting, but it was Val and Cindy's people, their traditions, and the joy they brought to the day that made it so memorable.

It was an absolute honour to be part of their New Zealand celebration and capture all the little moments, big surprises, and beautiful connections that made their wedding so uniquely theirs.
