I love that photography allows us to slow life down and lets us focus on the precious moment in front of us while video allows us to relieve the emotions we were feeling. Capturing a special moment in time for a couple to revisit throughout their lives is what drives my passion.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME:

• I love ice-cream and cake but nothing comes close to my love of carbs- potato, pasta, bread, rice you name it and I will most likely love it plain, with butter, tomato sauce or as an accompaniment if I'm feeling fancy. I might also be seen having a sample to test to ensure it is of good quality

• I love exploring and always have a camera on hand

• I prefer to be behind the lens rather then in front of the camera. Most of the photos my husband has of me are when I am eating or sipping on a cheeky beverage during a lunch or dinner date

• I am a Qualified Teacher

•I am petrified of dogs but by the end of the photo session with all the baby steps of being on the leash and being held by you, I am usually brave enough to take photos of your fur baby having a blast

I love technology and I am always looking at ways in which I can be better then I was the previous day. I spend most evenings researching, reading or listening to podcasts when I am not editing a gallery or video.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME:

• I have a sweet tooth and find any excuse to have a delicious treat

• I’ve worked for over 15 years in retail and learning and development

• I am so invested in every couples wedding that I can spend hours editing a gallery and highlight video often the same day of the wedding or the next day

• I love trying new cuisines so I always encourage my wife to branch out of her usual favs for date night although more often or not she wins

Roy Wang - Associate Photographer

My first camera was given to me by my grandfather in 2007 when I was a high school student, and it started me on the incredible artistic journey- studying a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Chengdu University of Technology . After I graduated from my school, I arrived to NZ to continue my study as a Master of Media Arts student at Wintec in Hamilton. My studies led me to fall in love with both documentary and portrait photography, and I adore bringing them together in my work

My passion for photographing weddings began in 2012 after I finished my Master's study in Hamilton. Since then, I moved to Auckland and spent many summers capturing those special moments and precious memories for numerous couples and families.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME:

• I have photographed over 400 weddings and pre-weddings for many happy couples

• I love capturing candid moments in natural-light settings

• I can speak two different languages: English and Mandarin Chinese

• My favorite subject when I was in high school was photography, which is why I decided to become a photographer

 • I shoot wedding photos to both cards at every wedding and have a rigorous backup process once home too
